Tomorrow Come Today (Wind-Up Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Politically minded, conviction-filled hardcore, Boysetsfire's Wind-Up debut, Tomorrow Come Today is an intense journey through crashing guitars, slamming, tough as nails rhythms and plenty of hair raising screams that are a call to arms. This record is not timid about anything and, though noisy as all get out, does not hide behind noise, getting the same guttural, from the heart, and stripped down intensity of any acoustic act with their harsh, edgy sound - a rarity indeed. This is passion put to music, a true, blue-collar hardcore record that makes no bones about its beliefs, and why should it? With music like this, who is going to call you on anything? I'll give it a B+.
