Juggling between folk and indie-pop, Emily Sparks brings together two very different worlds and embraces them both, melding them into a crock pop of acoustic guitars, soothing vocals, and lightweight melodies. Her dreamy voice floats over the sparse instrumentation as the soft touch of the music gently eases you into a relaxed state of mind. Playing as if she was singing in your ear, the personal touch does it every time, and she wins you over, befriending you and then confiding in you, allowing you access to her soul through her music. This is raw and uninhibited, exposing you to the core of everything that will make you believe in the healing power of music again. I'll give it an A-.
