One Good Eye
Let Go My E.G.O. (One Foot Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Everyone wants to be in a punk band, and that seems to be the case with One Good Eye. Whiny, high pitched vocals combined with nice melodic punk beats are what you'll find on this CD.

All through tracks like "Maybe It's Me," "Waiting For The Sun," "Subject," "GoTama," "August Grey," and the rest of the fourteen tracks on this CD you'll find nice melodic punk beats (borderline pop-punk). So what's wrong with this band you ask? The vocals? I'm a very heavily vocal oriented person, and these vocals make me want to run and hide from the music. Whiny, high pitched vocals follow the music where ever they go. It takes all the fun out of the music. If your looking for some good punk, look somewhere else. These guys just aren't that good. But with anything, you need to experience it for yourself to believe. Try it, and see what you think.

One Good Eye has one bad ear for music. Replace the vocalist, or tell the vocalist to add more power and lower his tone, and then start from scratch. You might even bring something good to the musical world. A definite D.
