Michael Miller
When We Come To (Shiny Shiny)

By: Alex Steininger

Melodic pop songs packaged in an Americana wrapper. Michael Miller's When We Come To is a sweet array of folk-y guitars, laid back melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. His recipe gives the record a mellow, almost slumber-esque presentation, as he lulls you to sleep with his airy, spacious compositions of tender, light guitars, and slight accompaniment on the tracks, everything from organ to drums, and everything in between. If you're looking for a relaxing singer who isn't timid, rather happier to be the one to write the songs that make you want to wind down, Michael Miller is an up and comer sure to make noise with When We Come To. I'll give it a C+.
