Beep Beep
Business Casual (Saddle Creek)

By: Alex Steininger

Beep Beep chimes in with a loud, frenetic post-punk sound that is equal parts chaos and controlled outbursts. Hitting you hard with a flurry of piercing vocals, the band plays on, the guitars razor sharp and the rhythm section effortlessly switching from steady and rigid to dynamic and pulsating. Business Casual is anything but, a loose fitting, indie-rock explosion of intensity, conveying urgency in every note. And, while their thing is in your face and outburst anticipated, they have their soothing, melodic side to balance things out. And that is what makes Business Casual stomach-able, as the vocals are the downfall here, screeching and screaming in your ear like a cat that just had it's tail stepped on. I'll give this a C.
