Treble Charger
Detox (Nettwerk)

Guitar-driven, punk-inspired modern rock that comes at you right out of the gate, Treble Charger's Detox is hook-laden, glossy, and powerful. It's the type of record that grabs modern rock kids by their minds and soon finds them singing ever song all day long, whether or not the record is blasting out of their stereo. With the intensity and volume to propel them onto modern rock radio, Treble Charger's sound would have been perfect in the mid-90s when this was what the radio was playing. However, oddly, here in 2004 the record still sounds like it has a chance. Maybe that is because radio is getting better? Or because Treble Charger's songs are just tailored enough for the radio; I'll give this a B-.
