Dying In Stereo (Star Time International)

 New York Trio, Northern State break it down for everyone to understand, and offer up some phat beats in the process, with their latest, Dying In Stereo. However, if ever there was an album inappropriately titled, this is it. Dying In Stereo is one fresh rhythm after another, the lyrics flowing with the style, which is more active than a political debate. Referred to as The Trinity (as the song by the same name will attest too), these three cute girls bust out hip-hop from an indie-rock perspective and music is all the better because of it. One of the best albums released this year. If you thought Eminem took hip-hop public, Northern State brought it to a whole new level. I'll give it an A.
