Celest
See Through Me E.P. (Little Teddy Recordings)

By: Alex Steininger

German-based guitar rock with a slight power-pop influence. Celest's EP, See Through Me E.P. is slick enough to find its way onto commercial radio with enough money behind it, but is also loose and carefree enough to make indie rock fans at least sit down and take a listen. The songs are good; there is room left for improvement (sometimes things get too stale or mundane). However, for the most part, the record comes and goes. The hooks planting a vague memory of the record the first few times through, before you start to realize the pop allure of the record is growing on you and you can't help but listen a few more times to "get it out of your head". I'll give it a C+.
