Bright Yellow, Bright Orange (Jet Set Records)

The Go-Betweens deliver yet another stellar collection of warm, acoustic-meets-electric pop songs that are about the lyrics as much as they are the melodies. Writing songs that will age nicely and sound timeless two decades from now, their relaxed approach seems effortless and natural, which gives the songs even more of a boast than they already had. Bright Yellow, Bright Orange is a, well, bright pop album that travels from mid-tempo to slow paced numbers, all of which will make you feel good as they spin. I'll give this an A-.
