If Nothing Else Shimmers (Blue Star Creeper)

Still in their infancy, the debut of Portland, Oregon's Blue Star Creeper, If Nothing Else Shimmers, is a run-of-the-mill, generic post-punk, indie-rock recording. Though, the band makes in roads beyond that, trying their hardest to find their own sound while veering through everything indie. They make some good attempts, but need to play live more, write plenty of more songs, and keep going at it before they hit their mark. Something tells me they already know this and are working hard to accomplish this, and my hat goes off to them. If Nothing Else Shimmers does make you want to see their live show; something tells me they put their hearts and souls into it and put on a good performance. I'll give this a C-.
