Voodoo Glow Skulls
Steady As She Goes (Victory Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Spanish rock-inspired ska-punk played by a bunch of hardcore fanatics, Voodoo Glow Skulls' quirky concoction comes alive on Steady As She Goes, their latest, most frenetic record to date. A massive explosion of horns along side a heavily distorted upbeat that will get you dancing, as the vocals come at you like a machine gun, all while the band whips out some punk rock that has more in common with its hardcore cousins than anything pop-punk. Simply put, this is in-your-face punk rock music that brings in quite a lot of influences, but somehow always stays punk rock. I'll give it a B-.
