The High Violets 44 Down (Reverb Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Swirling psychedelic pop led by the intertwined vocals of Clint Sargent and Kaitlyn Ni Donovan, The High Violets' 44 Down is a dazzling display of beautifully layered, washed out pop songs that suspend in mid-air. Attacking your senses and taking you to the deep regions of their own world, 44 Down is an example of various arts coming to life in a musical form, with the instruments their brushes. Armed with the equipment and talent, they use your mind as a canvas to paint mesmerizing songs in your head. I'll give it a B+.
