 I've never made any secret of the fact I hate the term "stoner rock" but I also have to admit there are some bands it is a perfect description of...bands like WEEDEATER. They take gruff and growling vocals and lay them over sludgy doom metal. The music is plodding and ponderous yet anvil heavy and definitely punishing. That legendary southern vibe is here but not in as much evidence as you might expect from a band that hails the Carolina's. WEEDEATER is home to a former member of BUZZOV-EN if that helps...
