Oddbox
Stray From Logic (Edgimo Company)

By: Alex Steininger

Ever so slightly funky pop-rock with overpowering vocals and buzzing guitars to keep things on the rock side, Oddbox's Stray From Logic sounds like four high school friends who've played in bands together for a decade. They graduated from high school, went on to college, and kept the garage band going throughout it all, now getting together to play after work and on the weekends for the hell of it. They have no aspirations beyond having fun, and that's a good thing because the songs lack tightness, songwriting depth, and the music itself is nothing more than your average bar band playing their hearts out to four drunks at 1am. I'll give it a D.
