Cyness
Loony Planet/Indutreality (Sound Pollution)

By: Jeb Branin

When I think of real, crush-your-bones-and-make-you-beg-for-mercy grindcore I think of music that sounds like this. CYNESS are the embodiment of pure grindcore. Yes, it seems weird to use the word "pure" and the word "grindcore" in conjunction with each other, but one listen to CYNESS and you'll agree with me (assuming you live through the experience). I'm fairly confident the band would as well since they have incorporated the word "grindcore" right into their logo. Listening to this I feel like I have discovered a long-lost album from the early Earache Records catalog.

In fact you could put a track from CYNESS on the classic Grindcrusher comp and it would fit in. Actually, check that, it would MORE than fit in, it would be one of the strongest tracks on there.

Imagine if you will, From Enslavement-era NAPALM DEATH and Extreme Conditions-era BRUTAL TRUTH providing inspiration for a band that takes the in-your-face sounds afforded by modern recording techniques and spits out twenty-two tracks of ferocious grind informed by 15+ years of experience in the genre. This is CYNESS. You want this album. You need this album. You will buy this album.
