Dead To Fall
Villainy and Virtue (Victory Records)

By: Mike SOS

Dead to Fall fell on hard times, yet the metalcore band bounced back in a big way. Villainy and Virtue is that seething comeback, a pounding 10-track affirmation that this band was not destined to go down in flames just yet. The quintet, retaining the Swedish metal sound made infamous by acts like Carcass, burn through tracks like "Stand Your Ground" and "Blood of the Moon", yet delve into the darker, more death metal sound of Darkest Hour on tracks like "Cross Section". Dead to Fall have not only made a stirring comeback, but have also reinvented themselves, churning out captivatingly crushing metal in the process.
