Noosebomb
Brain Food for the Braindead (Shifty Records)

By: Jeb

Every band has been through it. Picking a name. They sit around after rehearsal and run down lists of names each member has brought. It's a pain, because all the good names have been taken, right? Well kudos to NOOSEBOMB. I gotta say, I LOVE the moniker. Especially since it is so fitting for a band of their ilk. A band that mixes the feel of the harshest of sludge with the styling of rampant noisecore (what was once called the AmRep sound) and then executes it at an unbridled pace that is faster and more chaotic than you would expect from either description. Bands like this, my friends, are why I continue to find the extreme music underground to be a fruitful and fascinating music scene. Has anyone seen NOOSEBOMB live? I bet they go down a storm on stage.
