The Remedy Session
The Remedy Session (Recovery Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Stereotypical, noisy-to-soft emo-rock, The Remedy Sessions' self-titled full-length has its moments. It's energetic and it is loud, carrying a lot of emotion and not afraid to let that be known. However, the music is unoriginal and stale, drawing attention from the boy-girl vocal interplay and lyrics that seem to be the band's strong suit. It isn't a bad record, it just doesn't seem to really make its mark for itself. It seems content doing what others have done before it, and not as well, either. I'll give it a C-.
