Godstomper
Hell's Grim Tyrant (Enterruption)

By: Jeb Branin

In the past GODSTOMPER have been pretty hit and miss with me, but either they've gotten more consistent or my standards have sunk (or both) because I've absolutely loved the last two or three things in a row I've heard from the band. This full length release being no exception. In fact, along with the tracks from the DAYBREAK split 12", these are my favorite GS tunes. Two man grind played with abandon and an almost carefree whimsy (in a brutal, rip-off-your-head-and-shove-it-down-your-esophagus kinda way). It's obvious their music is pretty much a piss take but that is part of the charm. Plus it is heavy as hell, bash and crash, crunch and grind... all traits that compensate for being half-serious. If your blender has been sounding way too melodic lately, this is the CD for you.
