Avoid One Thing
Avoid One Thing (Side One Dummy)

By: Alex Steininger

Equal parts melody and speed, Avoid One Thing's brand of punk rock is unlike Southern California's pop-punk a la Blink 182, because they play with intensity and rawness rather than perfection and gloss. But, they still fall in the pop-punk category, because they value pop and the melody it brings, as well as the speed the punk provides.

A good combination of the both make this an enjoyable album, one you can put on when you want some poppy stuff that isn't flowery or sugar-coated, or when you want some good ol' punk rock from the streets. I'll give it a B.
