The Sound of Urchin
You Are The Best (RCA Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Melodic, guitar-driven rock 'n' roll with a twist. Adding elements of hip-hop (vocals) and a dose of tough guy rock from the streets of New York, The Sound of Urchin creates a highly explosive record with You Are The Best. Very melodic and poppy, the band takes it upon themselves to rock it up at times, giving you something to look forward to so you don't have to listen to fourteen of the same pop songs. Though, when all is said and done, you won't be remembering the harder rock moments; the memorable moments are tucked away in the pop, which is addictive. You'll be walking around singing tracks off this album for weeks. I'll give it a B+.
