Crack City Rockers
Joyce Hotel (Paisley Pop)

By: Alex Steininger

Like all great rock records of the 60's and 70's, Crack City Rockers just don't give it to you. They make you work for it. From the R&B-soaked garage rock chomp to the raw, uninhibited rock bite, Crack City Rockers' debut, Joyce Hotel, is the type of album you can dance and bop with or rock out too. It's no holds barred fun from the opening of the rambunctious "I Do All Right," through the melodic stomp of "I'm Too Easy On Myself (& Yr So Hard To Please)", to the hypnotizing closer, "Rolling Yr Eyes Blues". This is classic danceable rock transplanted to the year 2002 and ready to make you shake, rock, and roll. I'll give it an A.
