The Original Brothers and Sisters of Love
H.O.M.E.S. Volume 1 (The Telegraph Company)

By: Alex Steininger

Folk-inspired indie-pop, The Original Brothers and Sisters of Love create a traditional sounding, modern concoction overflowing with tender, heartfelt lyrics, poignant melodies, and soft, passing percussion beats that slowly creep into your subconscious before you even notice it. This is the type of album you swear was recorded long ago, but upon closer inspection realize that this is a new record, one that has both history and a presence in this day and age of hook-laden, lightweight songs geared at your wallet rather than your hearts or minds. Here is something that is most certainly shooting for your heart and mind - to enrich your soul - rather than your wallet. And, because of that, it's an adoring album that you'll spend many nights with. I'll give it an A.15
