The Damn Personals
Driver / Driver (Big Wheel Recreation)

By: Alex Steininger

Guitar-driven pop-rock songs with spiky, sharp shooting vocals, The Damn Personals deliver quirky rock with noise and hooks galore. Though, the vocals seem to be the first thing your mind processes, and the last thing you remember after the music has vanished. They're not bad, though they're kind of unsettling; an acquired taste. Once you get used to them, the punchy rock of The Damn Personals can be rather enjoyable and highly engaging. But, if you don't get past the vocals, they'll be a major hang up hindering you to enjoy the music to the fullest. I'll give this CD a B-.15
