Hate For Your Blood - Cassette single (The Evil Horde)

 DESCEND are another of the up and coming bands in the death metal scene that seem determined to revitalize the genre. They stay true to the roots of the sound but they also are talented and know how to write a good song that doesn't get lost in the sea of mundaneness that at time has threatened to drown all fans of death. Their style is complex and multi-faceted but still relies primarily on sick low growls, raw guitar thrashing and a furiously pounding rhythm. The often multi-track the vocals making them very prominent and overwhelming which I reall like. It also helps to add depth to the sound. A very good tape from a band that I expect great things from.
