Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
The Boatman's Call (Reprise Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are back with their latest release, The Boatman's call. Their blend of piano based easy listening pop music and deep vocals combine to form a music that should be known as "mood music." No matter what mood your in, the CD is right for you. If your mad, you'll be able to calm down with this. If your happy, this CD will follow you through the good times.

Tracks like "Into My Arms," "People Ain't No Good," and "Where Do We Go Now but Nowhere?" will light up your heart with the delicate touches of the piano, while the deep vocals of Nick Cave will reach deep down inside you and bring your inner emotions to the surface. From every key stroked on the piano, to every drum beat that stirs the songs a bit and then pulls everything together for a more personal feel you'll find what you were missing here. There's just too much to do in a day, and with everyone running in circles, a lot of stress and pressure can mount on a person. So why not pull out this CD and just calm down and relax to this CD.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds know how to hit you were you'll feel it. And on "The Boatman's Call" nothing is different. You'll fall in love with the warm sensitivity of the CD. I'll give the CD a B-.
