Warren G
Take A Look Over Your Shoulder (Reality Records)

By: TAJLTDB@aol.com

Warren G proves that younger brothers can teach their older siblings a thing or two. You see Warren G has always had the right idea; but, it took his brother--DR Dre--a messy divorce from Death Row Records and the shooting death of Tupac Shakur to figure out what the real purpose of Hip Hop is, to make music. Never one to get caught up in the East Coast, West Coast circus; Warren G has always been a musician first. On his latest CD, Take a Look Over Your Shoulder (Reality), Warren stays true to his fans, giving them 17 ( 2 versions of the first single, I Shot the Sheriff) new songs. If Take A Look Over Your Shoulder were a Snoop Dogg album, Critics, MTV, and Radio Stations would be blowing it up; but, despite Warren G's musical achievements (Recording and Producing) he has remained one of the least recognized rappers by the media. Maybe America does loves the bad guy--Tupac, Biggie--, but nice guys don't always finish last.
